Our mission is to promote Hispanic culture and foster intercultural understanding between the Spanish- and English-speaking communities of our region through Spanish-language theater. We carry out our mission by producing Latin theater productions and offering theater workshops for adults and children. All of these activities provide spaces for community gathering.

Teatro 8 was born from the desire to create a space where stories can bring us together, make us laugh, move us and help us recognize ourselves in others.
We believe in theatre as a living, intimate, and human experience. A place where the audience is not a distant spectator, but part of a shared experience.

From Miami we celebrate the richness of Latin theater and the profound legacy of Argentine theater, building a cultural bridge between different communities that share the same city.
Each season we present comedies and plays that combine humor, emotion and reflection.

Our story
Teatro 8 is a theater located in the heart of Little Havana, Miami. Since 2014, it has been under the artistic direction of Jessica Alvarez Dieguez and Alejandro Vales, who promote a program dedicated to Latin American theater, and especially Argentine theater.
Over the years, the theater has presented numerous productions and built a community of spectators who return time and time again to share the experience of live theater.
Because theatre is not just a show.
It is a space where a community meets.
And that's Theatre 8.
